Bound for the far east, this valuable and revered wood was to become a great industry for Western Australia. This womens amber woody fragrance is an elegant feminine fragrance featuring the classical notes of pure Australian Sandalwood oil.

Not JUST for the Ladies in my humble opinion.

(I was reluctant to review and share my thoughts, but felt it was worth sharing.) I’ve been using 1845 for the last few years as my go to daily fragrance. I’ve always selected woody notes for my aftershave. I know the description says “elegant and feminine”… but it hasn’t stopped me going through at least four bottles of this, over the years. Always gets lots of compliments, I have a collection of at least 10 different fragrances, yet I go through so much of 1845. Don’t hesitate to try it. In my opinion it is a great woody, yet refreshing unisex scent.

Love this perfume

We were fortunate to visit WA recently & I bought this perfume & the Mt Romance deodorant. They are both beautiful products. I’m not normally in to woody perfumes & they don’t always suit me, but I love this one & enjoy the fragrance when I wear it.

This has been my one and only perfume for years now, love it, I have an allergy problem and actually find this perfume very soothing, I guess it’s the Sandalwood component. Also get asked regularly what I am wearing, it smells so nice. Was thrilled to actually go to the Albany Sandalwood shop when we made our big trip to WA, treated myself to a few goodies, so good !!

A No. 1 perfume for me.

The warm sandalwood notes get lots of good comments. The aroma keeps me relaxed but aware. I even fill my smaller portable atomiser from the big bottle so I always have it with me. Doesn't need refreshing very often through the day which is excellent. Doesn't seem to irritate any one as some perfumes do causing headaches or a brain fug.

I was told about this product at a campground, I spent an hour smelling it on my pilot while flying over the bungle bungles and then found it at the sandalwood shop in kunnanarra. No floral tones, just a spicy wood. suits me i love this product. Smells so good

Creamy sandalwood perfectly melted over a floral base of honey and vanilla. If Le Labo's Santal 33 and Vera Wang's Lovestruck had a baby, this would be it.

My favourite perfume

I bought a bottle at the Canberra farmer's markets (sandalwood stall) this weekend, and love it so much. I love that it smells like the best perfumes out there (better actually), yet has the health benefits and none of the nasties of mainstream perfumes as far as I could tell. It's got feminine oriental notes, yet not pungent or sweet.

My mum bought me a bottle of 1845 edp as a gift a few years ago and it quickly became my go-to fragrance at the time. Now, with a collection of over 150 fragrances, 1845 edp is still hands-down my favourite sandalwood fragrance. It is elegant and sensual and feminine without being sweet. It is also a fantastic fragrance for layering with other perfumes. I absolutely love it.
