Celebrations and Reflections for 2022 at The Sandalwood Shop

A review of achievements and reflection of the year 2022 at The Sandalwood Shop

We have reached that time of year, where the hectic festivities are over, and no one is quite sure what day it is or what they should to do with all the leftover ham!  A time of relaxation and hope for a fresh new year to come.

At the end of each year, we like to take some time to reflect and celebrate the year gone.  Like many other businesses the impacts of the pandemic have been felt with staff shortages and supply chain issues, but we are proud that we have still been able to achieve so much.

Some of the major projects undertaken this year have included the much-anticipated release of the Sanphyre Fury EDT, the release of the locally made Sandalwood Reed Diffuser and Australian Sandalwood Candle, the roll out completion of our change to more eco-packaging, and our new gong relaxation session and workshop online booking system.

After the uncertainly of the past few years, it was also fantastic to be able to welcome back coach groups, interstate, and international visitors to our stores.   We were also able to get out and about, and this year attended the Perth Women’s Expo for the first time.  A great weekend that we look forward to attending again next year.  It was also terrific to be once again apart of the Taste Great Southern.  Subscribing to our newsletter and following us on social media will ensure you are kept up to date on the events we are participating in.  We would love to see you at one!

Each year, whether it be in our stores, in events we attend or over the phone, we have the chance to meet thousands of wonderful people.  It is the support of these people that makes our business so enjoyable and successful and is why where possible we like to give back as much as we can.  This year we had the opportunity to support many amazing groups and organisations with the events they held.  These included the Middleton Beach Bowling Club, Albany Golf Club, Albany Athletics Club, Albany Classic Motorsport Club, Albany Caledonian Football Corp, Kalumburu Aboriginal Corporation, Tambellup Community Resource Centre, Denmark Gymnastics Club, Beryl Grant Centre, Kwoorabup Community Markets and Boston Brewery – Fire Relief Fundraiser.    We applaud the contribution these individuals and groups make to our Great Southern community.

On a final note, and in the words of Rainer Maria Rilke “And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.”  Happy New Year!
